At the core of SPM Online lies a profound respect for both individual and cultural differences and the desire to solve the many sources of conflict arising from these differences, with a view to fostering better relationships and communication at work.

Based on the Spony Profiling Model (SPM), SPM Online products and services propose a holistic and universal approach, based on the analysis of individual values, motivations and behaviours. Our goal is to encourage everyone to develop a better understanding of themselves and others, in order to harness the powerful richness of human diversity:

  • Giving everyone a chance: Should education and work experience alone decide our individual fate? Not everyone has the chance to be part of a leading blue chip executive training programme. Other equally important factors need to be taken into consideration, like motivations, preferences and personality. No style is better than another: just different. Suitability depends on how things need to be done, and in which context. The SPM focuses on the analysis of fundamental human dilemmas that shape what we are, as complex and unique individuals. Understanding these characteristics, regardless of age, gender or race is our contribution to promoting diversity and equality at work.
  • Facilitating teamwork: It has been said that fear and ignorance are often the roots of conflicts. Who has not been part of a meeting where no one could agree on a future course of action? Consolidate or develop? Pressurise or support? Who is right? All views make sense, depending on where you come from. Our preferences are based on deeply rooted values and beliefs that differ for each of us. Difficulties arise when people cannot understand each other or cannot relate to different point of views. Through the Individual Profiler and the Team Profiler, the SPM provides a holistic approach that enables individuals to better understand themselves and one another so that potential areas of conflict can be explained and more constructive relationships can take place.
  • Seeking work satisfaction: Numerous research papers have highlighted growing work dissatisfaction amongst the active population. Inadequate pay, stress, and increasing pressure are just a few causes. We all have different preferences about how we envisage our "perfect job". With the Role Profiler, the SPM enables managers to objectively analyse the soft competences required for a given role and place individuals into positions that suit who they are. This not only ensures a higher level of satisfaction and performance, but also increased staff retention.
